Who can apply?

• What is the minimum income requirement?

  For salaried applicants, the minimum net take-home salary is R15 000 per month. If you earn below R15 000 net, you may still qualify if you can provide 6 months of additional income proof where 35% of that additional income is a minimum of R2 500 per month — subject to the Approvals Manager's discretion, provided the net and additional income together meet the R15 000 p/m minimum.
  
  For self-employed applicants, the minimum average monthly business turnover is R60 000 per month. Should your business be 3 months below R60 000 p/m, your application will be automatically declined.

• Do I need a driver's licence to apply?

  Yes — a valid South African driver's licence is a non-negotiable requirement on all applications. A copy of your driver's licence must be included with your supporting documents.

• Can non-South African citizens apply?

  Applications are currently open to South African ID holders. If you hold a valid work permit and can provide the required supporting documents, please contact us directly to discuss your situation — we assess each case individually.

• Can I apply if I am self-employed?

  Yes. Self-employed applicants are welcome. You will need to provide your Company CK documents, a SARS Clearance Certificate, 6 months of company bank statements (showing a minimum average of R60 000 per month), and 1 month of personal bank statements. All required documents must be submitted — self-employed clients will not be assessed if any documents are missing.

How the rent-to-buy process works

• What is rent-to-buy?

  Rent-to-buy allows you to drive a quality pre-owned vehicle while paying a fixed monthly rental. At the end of the rental period you have three options: return the vehicle, arrange to keep it, or upgrade to a later model if you qualify.

• How long is the rental period?

  The standard rental period is 54 months with a fixed premium and no mileage limitation. On 2025 models, the rental period is 60 months.

• In whose name will the vehicle be registered?

  The vehicle will remain registered in the name of the Finance Company for the duration of the rental agreement.

• What happens after I submit my application?

  Once we receive your complete application and supporting documents, our team reviews it personally. We will contact you to let you know whether you qualify. If approved, we guide you through choosing your vehicle and finalising the agreement. There are no automatic rejections — every application is assessed individually.

• How long does it take to get a decision?

  Our team aims to provide feedback within 24–72 hours of receiving a complete application with all required documents. Incomplete applications cannot be assessed and will cause delays.

Required documents

• What documents are required on all applications?

  The following are non-negotiable on every application:

  • Clear, legible, fully completed application form
  • Clear copy of your South African ID document
  • Clear copy of your valid South African driver's licence

• What additional documents do salaried applicants need?

  In addition to the standard documents, salaried applicants must provide:

  • Copy of your ID
  • Copy of your driver's licence
  • Proof of address (not older than 3 months)
  • Latest 3 months' payslips — minimum net salary of R15 000. If you have additional income, provide 6 months' proof where 35% of that income is a minimum of R2 500 p/m
  • Bank statements (latest 4 months, showing at least 3 salaries)

• What additional documents do self-employed applicants need?

  In addition to the standard documents, self-employed applicants must provide:

  • Copy of your ID
  • Copy of your driver's licence
  • Proof of address (not older than 3 months)
  • Company CK documents & SARS Clearance Certificate
  • Company bank statements (latest 6 months — minimum average of R60 000 per month)
  • Personal bank statement (latest 1 month)

  
  Note: Self-employed clients will not be assessed if all required documents are not submitted.

• Can I send documents via WhatsApp?

  No — WhatsApp images are not accepted and will result in an automatic decline of your application. Please submit clear, legible copies via email to [email protected].

Your vehicle & the agreement

• What is the deposit?

  A deposit is required on all vehicles. The deposit starts from R15 000, depending on your choice of vehicle. Our team will advise you on the exact deposit required for the vehicle you select.

• Am I allowed to let another person drive the vehicle?

  Only if the person is a nominated driver as per the rental agreement.

• Where can I service my vehicle?

  You may service your vehicle at any franchised workshop as per the manufacturer's specification.

• Am I allowed to put accessories on the vehicle?

  Yes, you may add accessories on condition that they add value to the vehicle.

• Can I cross the border into neighbouring countries?

  No — we have no cover outside of South Africa. The vehicle may not be taken across the South African border.

• Who is responsible for service and maintenance?

  The renter is responsible for the service and maintenance of the vehicle at his/her own cost.

Repayments & terms

• Is the monthly rental fixed?

  Yes — the monthly rental is fixed for the duration of the agreement (54 or 60 months). There are no mileage limitations.

• What happens if I miss a payment?

  Missing a payment can result in penalty fees and may affect your standing under the rental agreement. If you anticipate difficulty making a payment, contact us as early as possible — proactive communication is always better than silence.

• Is vehicle insurance included in the monthly rental?

  Comprehensive vehicle insurance is a condition of the rental agreement but is arranged separately. The monthly rental quoted covers the rental instalment only.
